Chocolate Bacon Brittle

Need a quick fancy salty and sweet treat to indulge in? Here's an easy one. Found in the pages of a Good Housekeeping Magazine whilst in a tire shop. Hilarious. Thanks to the creator of this, whoever they are, I could not find a name to credit. It is most delicious.

WHAT YOU NEED: 25 saltine crackers

6 T butter

3/4 cup brown sugar

8 oz semi sweet chocolate chips

8 slices cooked bacon, cooked and broken up

Flaky sea salt

WHAT TO DO:

Heat oven to 350. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and coat with non-stick spray. Arrange saltine crackers on top of foil. Set aside.

In medium saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar on medium heat until boiling. Immediately pour onto saltine crackers and spread to coat evenly. Bake until golden brown, 12-15 minutes.

Immediately scatter chocolate chips in an even layer on top of caramel/crackers and let sit for about 3 minutes. While chocolate is still warm, spread to even out if need be, and sprinkle bacon over chocolate. Finish with a light scattering of the salt and let set until the chocolate hardens. Break into pieces to serve.

Enjoy!
